Phil, I really loved this episode of your podcast. I agree with you that many people (myself included at times) make the new idea pitch before is it completely ready with sub-optimal results. I also really like your advise of taking personal ownership if your pitch isn't able to sway your audience. "They just don't get it" might be a cop-out, and we should work to improve the effectiveness of our pitch.
I also like your advise on "asking for the sale". Sometimes when you are too close to something, you think that everyone else sees the natural next step. Thank you for "sharing it forward" with extra motivation on the side.

Phil great podcast(as always). I'm using this as part of our new IT Innovation Program.
I work in a non-profit and was intrigued by this podcast. We have been trying to figure what is the "potential revenue" for a non-profit when making investment decisions. I was wondering if your listeners have any ideas?

Hi Phil,
All your episodes are great - I am dedicated listener from Day1.
This one in particular is extremely useful as I've shared it with my entire company.
There have been many cases in our company where staff have approached me with new ideas for products and services, but they did not know how to deliver the pitch. In other cases, I did not know how to deliver the pitch to my partners, and as a result have not always had my ideas follow through on.
You're guidance will help us change that in the future and perhaps not miss out on truly great ideas!
Thanks again Phil!
Cheers,
Christopher Kata

Thank you so much for talking about this, Phil. This is what I have needed help on for the longest time. I wouldn't mind if you keep talking about this, maybe a part 2 and 3 if there is anything else you can say on this topic of selling your innovative project to managment.
