I’ve been asked to join the Board of Directors for the Tech Museum.  If you can’t tell by now, my wife and I support educational institutions that help others understand, learn and apply technology and innovation.   In particular, the Tech Museum has a great program for school kids to come in an experience “labs” where they can get hands on experience that is missing from traditional education settings.

Background On The Tech Museum

The Tech Museum is a hands-on technology and science museum for people of all ages and backgrounds. The museum – located in the Capital of Silicon Valley – is a non-profit learning resource established to engage people in exploring and experiencing technologies affecting their lives. Through programs such as The Tech Challenge, our annual team design competition for youth, and internationally renowned programs such as The Tech Awards presented by Applied Materials, Inc., The Tech Museum celebrates the spirit of Silicon Valley by encouraging the development of innovative ideas for a more promising future.

That’s great Phil – in my opinion the quality of science-oriented museums has been going down in recent years – the Tech is certainly one of the better ones, and I know you will help prod them to a higher level.

Phil, this is great news and your passion will help many generations to come.
