I will be hosting a twitter chat on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. (ET). This is my first-ever Twitter chat and will focus on the topics of Ultra HD/4K video and next-generation cable service delivery. The chat is hosted by CableLabs and Multichannel News
Multichannel News has posted the following background and guidelines for the Twitter chat:
Twitter users can ask questions, weigh in, and track the action using the #CableChat hashtag, and follow the group on Twitter: Phil McKinney (@philmckinney); CableLabs (@CableLabs); Multichannel News (@MultiNews); and Jeff Baumgartner (@thebauminator).
- Introduce yourself with your first #CableChat tweet. Include your name, job title and organization you work for.
- In subsequent tweets, please start with the question number you are responding to and include the #CableChat hashtag. For example: “@johnsmith Q6 I see the future of cable looking like…#CableChat”
- Please don’t pitch products or services; stay focused on the discussion topics.
- Please keep the discussion professional, but informal.
I’m anxious to see how well this works …
